Education Offerings by the IRB

The IRB offers several opportunities to educate researchers, staff, and students on the submission process for different types of research as well as the conduct of human subjects research.

Educational Opportunities Offered by the IRB

IRB 101

The IRB office lacks the resources to provide 1-on-1 walkthroughs of the online HSERA submission system. IRB 101 sessions are offered several times a year, which cover basic elements of submission types as well as information about how to submit protocols to the IRB. Check the calendar for upcoming sessions.

Office Hours

If you are unable to attend a 101 session, a 101 session is not offered at the time you need assistance, or you have a more specific question, please sign up for our Office Hours, held in 15-minute increments on Thursdays between 10am-12pm ET.

Request a Class or Group Training / Workshop

IRB staff are available to conduct instructional sessions for undergraduate and graduate classes as well as student, staff, and faculty groups. Instructional sessions can be in-person or virtual. If you are interested in scheduling an instructional session for your class or organization, or suggesting a University wide educational session please complete the Qualtrics Form below.
